It’s hard for me to be able to tell why you got the results that you got without going into detail about what targets you’re automating with and what your account looks like, but I’d recommend to go deeper in your targets and focus on getting your content as good as it can be to increase results. Those are the two most important elements vs being able to segment into gender, followers, etc. It might also be the case that automating isn’t right for where you are now with your account or what results you’re expecting. The better targets you find and the better your account content is, the better results you’ll have, no matter the segmentation. Hope that helps?
